Kays Community Services is a neighborhood residential provider for people with developmental disabilities providing high-quality community living services with distinction. The organization's mission is to promote and protect the human rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and support their full inclusion and participation in the community. The idea for Kays was a result of decades of experiences working in other organizations where we had the opportunity to learn what works and what does not as well as what needs a new vision for a real person-first-residential service.
It all began when we realized that there was a great need for high-quality care and support for people with developmental disabilities in their community. We recognized that many families were struggling to find the right services, even in the face of numerous providers, for their loved ones and that there was a gap in the provision of personalized care and support that was needed compared to the truly individualized philosophy that they had imagined.
In addition to our combined 28 years of experience in the field, we began to research and explore the different models of care and support available, and consulted with other experienced practitioners in the field of developmental disabilities to determine the best approach. Kays Had To Be Established
After much research and planning, we were able to establish Kays Community Services in 2022. Today, Kays has become one of the pioneers in reimagining person-centered support planning and delivery of high-quality, personalized care and support services in the community beyond state-minimum requirements.
Kays has continued to evolve and improve its services to better meet the changing needs of the people it serves. Kays provides a range of community engagement activities and has established partnerships with local businesses and organizations to promote the inclusion and participation of people with developmental disabilities in the community.

Kays has also embraced technology to enhance the quality of its services, with the implementation of electronic health records and remote monitoring systems to ensure the safety and well-being of the people it serves.
